Rental Information, Options and Forms
The Alice Sheets Marriott Center for Dance rentals include:
- Formal, 333-seat theatre: HAYES CHRISTENSEN THEATRE and first floor facilities including dressing rooms, lobby, etc.
- Six large STUDIOS (Rooms 220, 240, 260, 20, 40, 60) two of which can be transformed into an informal performance EXPERIMENTAL THEATRE, (240 and 40) with the addition of lighting, curtains, and risers for audience seating.
- Outdoor SKY DECK with views of the valley that can be used for performances and receptions.
RENTAL PROTOCOL, PROCEDURES AND FORMS:
All rentals are governed by the University of Utah School of Dance. Use priorities are for departmental performances, classes, dance major and graduate student course work and class project rehearsals.
Requests by non-department groups or persons must be in writing and directed to the School of Dance at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or by calling (801) 581-7327. Facility use requires approval by the department Chair and Production Director. There are university and non-university rental rates for all spaces.
If any non-department group or persons are in spaces without permission, they will be asked to leave by a department designated person or the U of U Police Dept.

Please note: Prices listed in the contract are general and will be adjusted dependent upon use, need and other variables.

3. The information received will be submitted to the Chairs and Production Director for approval. Notifications of approval will then come from the Rental Coordinator or Production Director.
4. If space rental is approved, a rental contract meeting will be scheduled where estimates and expenditures will be discussed and contracts will be signed.
Please note: All contracts must be signed and a deposit submitted before space use.
