Modern BFA in Dance Teaching

The Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in teaching is designed as a professional training program for serious dancers interested in pursuing a career in the field dance teaching.

Students who choose to pursue a BFA in Modern Dance Teaching must complete pedagogical curriculum in the College of Education in addition to the courses dancers are assigned for the BFA area of specialization in dance teaching.

All applicants must submit an application for admission to the University to the Admissions Office and a separate application to the School of Dance. All applicants must audition either in person or by video, although an in person audition is strongly encouraged.
