Joshua Mora

MFA Candidate

An Alaskan-born 2nd generation immigrant with roots that float on a Navy boat, this dance artist finds himself continuing the tradition of world exploration and appreciation. Before moving back to Utah to pursue an MFA at the University of Utah's School of Dance, Joshua spent a summer exploring Arkansas with his younger sister. He spent time in Florida dancing with Jacksonville Dance Theatre and writing their children's outreach creative dance program with his friend and colleague Winter Bosanko. Joshua's interest lies in finding ways of incorporating dance and movement in the effort to find collective trauma healing and how physical empathy and love play a role in how the world's societal evolution might catch up to its technological advancements. Here's hoping that you might continually find magic in your day.
