Assistant Professor Kiri Avelar, along with MFA student Alexia Maikidou Poutrino (MFA ‘26) and undergraduate student Sophie Greenwood (BFA ‘26) were recently published in Frontiers: A Journal of Women Studies with their article “The Embodied Futures of Screendance for the Next Generation: A Collective Feminist Perspective on Archival Remediations.”

Avelar’s photography was also featured as the cover art for the issue.
