Character Dance Ensemble Travels to England and Scotland
This year we had the opportunity to travel to England and Scotland, where we explored London and Glasgow and made brief visits to Rochester, Edinburgh, and Greenock. We took a Morris dance class at the English Folk Dance and Song Society, learned Scottish Highland dance at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and repertoire from Ballet Folk, visited the Trinity Library, explored several museums and even attended the Highland games. These experiences deepened our understanding of traditional folk dancing and enhanced the work we bring back to our rehearsals and performances.
