Assistant Professor Kiri Avelar co-presented at the Digital Humanities Utah Symposium at Weber State University with undergraduate students Katherine Boyce (Modern BFA ‘26) and Sean Sullivan (Modern BFA ‘26)) and graduate student Michelle Manzanales (Modern MFA ‘27) on "Mapping from Below: SIGuache Methodologies for Re-storying Dance Histories" where students presented their digital cartographies on Tina Ramirez, Carmelita Tropicana, and Evelyn Cisneros.
