Sumedha Bhattacharyya in upcoming Choreomundus Dance Film Festival and ICTMD World Conference

In July, Visiting Instructor Sumedha Bhattacharyya will lead, for her third year, Curatorial Direction & Programming for the Choreomundus Dance Film Festival (CDFF) in Clermont Ferrand, France. In January 2027, Bhattacharyya will represent her home country of India and Jindal School of Liberal Arts and Humanities at the 49th ICTMD World Conference in Santiago, Chile. She will be joined by fellow researchers Silvia Citro, Urmimala Sarkar Munsi, and Manuela Rodríguez Rosano for a roundtable discussion, “Embodied Alternate Histories of Power and Knowledge: Women from the Global South in Music and Dance Studies,” which will be chaired by Maria Gabriela, who will represent her home country of Ecuador.
