Will Maguire Awarded the College of Fine Arts Staff Excellence Award

CONGRATS to our very own Administrative Manager, Will Maguire, who was awarded the 2026 College of Fine Arts (CFA) Staff Excellence Award on Friday, September 18 during the College-Wide Faculty & Staff Meeting at the Utah Museum of Fine Arts (UMFA).

Each year, the College of Fine Arts recognizes the superior performance of one staff member within the college who shows exceptional ability in terms of Service Excellence and Commitment to the College of Fine Arts. This award is chosen from nominations by current students, alumni, staff, and faculty members. During the ceremony, CFA Dean John Scheib presented the award as follows: 

“This year’s recipient is known to be an invaluable asset to the unit he serves, the College of Fine Arts, and the University. Nominators describe him as highly skilled, dependable, efficient, and approachable, consistently managing complex responsibilities while providing excellent service to students, faculty, staff, and campus partners. His clear communication, positive attitude, and willingness to help, make him a trusted and respected member of the University community. Consistently going above and beyond his core responsibilities; and demonstrating initiative, creativity, and strong problem-solving skills; he is recognized for his commitment to people and continuous improvement. It is my great pleasure to award the 2026 CFA Staff Excellence Award to the School of Dance’s Administrative Manager, Will Maguire.“
