Iowa MFA in Dance Program
Hi Marriott Center for Dance!
The University of Iowa is opening up the new admissions season for their MFA in Dance program for students entering in the Fall of 2027. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, with early admission offers beginning in January 2027. Students admitted to the program receive full tuition scholarships and annual stipends of up to $23,000.
UI Dance offers a rigorous, interdisciplinary approach to dance and dance-making, supported by a major research university in Iowa City, a UNESCO-designated Creative City. Students of this program learn from innovative, community-engaged, supportive faculty alongside master classes and performance opportunities with world-class guest artists. Students also develop personalized research trajectories in either Choreography or Performance within a flexible two to three year degree timeline. With abundant opportunities in choreography, performance, production, and teaching, there is room to experiment, deepen artistic practices and develop skills for professional work in the field.
