The School of Dance relies on the generous donations provided by alumni, students’ families, lovers of dance everywhere, and our own faculty/staff members. Here you can specify if you would like to donate to our General Development Fund, Student Scholarships, or the School of Dance Travel Fund. You may also conduct a search to see if your employer will match your tax-deductible donation.
For all donations made through UGive, donors will be recognized in our show programs for the academic season.
Maggie Wright Tesch Endowed Scholarship
Please join the School of Dance in celebrating the life and legacy of our beloved Professor Emeritus Maggie Wright Tesch as we support an endowed ballet scholarship in her name.
Maggie was an enduring champion of student success, and she knew firsthand the impact of scholarships for dancers from all backgrounds, particularly those who would not pursue higher education without them.
All donations, no matter the size, will celebrate Maggie’s legacy while supporting the students she was so passionate about.
General Development Fund
Your gift will directly benefit School of Dance students as this fund is utilized to support general projects as directed by the School of Dance Director. This includes student socials, performance expenses, areas of greatest financial need, annual creative initiatives, and co-curricular activities. Bene Arnold Endowed Scholarship
Created by a generous estate contribution by late Emeritus Professor and former Interim Chair of the University of Utah Department of Ballet Bené Arnold, the recently established Bené Arnold Endowed Scholarship Fund will provide vital scholarship support to ballet students in the U School of Dance.
We hope you will consider a gift honoring Arnold’s legacy of leadership while championing the success of future artists.
School of Dance Travel Fund
Your gift will directly benefit School of Dance students, faculty, and staff as this fund is utilized to support travel projects as directed by the School of Dance Director. This includes student trips, faculty research trips, and outreach and touring programs. This fund was created thanks to a generous donation in the name of Julie Hansen Jensen.
