Raven Wilson (she/her) is a Filipina American dance artist and educator. She received her BFA with an emphasis in Modern Dance from Utah Valley University, where she spent four years performing with both Synergy Dance Company and Contemporary Dance Ensemble (CDE). During her time with these companies, Raven had the opportunity to work closely with critically acclaimed artists including Mike Esperanza, Monica Campbell, Kathie and Pat Debenham, Lehua Estrada, Brian Gerke, Angie Banchero-Kelleher, Amy Markgraf, Melissa Younker, Diavolo Dance Theater and LajaMartin. In 2020, she also performed at the American College Dance Association (ACDA) and was honored to be selected to compete nationally with CDE.

Following graduation, Raven spent two years as a Pre-K teacher at the YWCA, where she developed and taught her own creative dance curriculum for kindergarten, Pre-K, and preschool students. She continued to expand her involvement in the Utah dance community by serving as Vice President of Creators Dance Project under the direction of Ashlie Carlile for two years.

Raven went on to serve as the Director of Dance at a public junior high school in Utah for four years, where she combined her passion for dance with her commitment to arts education. Alongside her teaching career, she has continued to pursue freelance performance opportunities, working with Creators Dance Project, 801 Salon, Tara Jo, Playground Dance Project, Side Hustle Dance Project, and Allium Movers. She is also a member of Kulturang Pilipino Ensemble, a Filipino dance company based in Utah, where she continues to connect with and celebrate her cultural heritage through dance.

Currently, Raven is an MFA candidate in Dance and Choreography at the University of Utah, where she is expected to graduate in 2028. As an artist, educator, and choreographer, Raven looks forward to building a long and meaningful career in dance and is grateful to be part of such a phenomenal and supportive community.
