Rebecca Johnson is a performing artist from Park City, UT with a passion for connecting with others through art. She received a BFA in Modern Dance from the University of Utah in 2019 and began working at her alma mater full-time in 2020. As the School of Dance stage manager, she utilizes her unique perspective gained from years of dancing to deepen her understanding of productions- from a student, staff, and performer's point of view. In addition to her work behind the scenes, Rebecca is passionate about teaching and mentoring, and loves getting to know the people who pass through the SoD. She hopes to showcase to the students that existing as a movement artist is a strength and being a dancer allows you to be multifaceted in many ways and professions (in addition to giving you excellent spatial awareness).

Outside of the university setting, you might find Rebecca baking, spending time outdoors, thinking about writing a novel, or performing/producing in the local drag scene.
