Will Maguire is originally from Vernal, Utah. He moved to Salt Lake City in 2011 to attend the University of Utah as a first-generation college student where he got his Bachelor's in Accounting with Honors. During his undergraduate degree, Will worked in the accounting department at both the Utah Museum of Fine Arts (UMFA) and Catholic Community Services (CCS). After graduation, Will spent six years working as a Financial Auditor with the Utah Office of the State Auditor. During this time, he also returned to the University of Utah for his Master’s Degree in Accounting (MAcc), enrolled as a full-time student and working full-time. In 2020, Will was ecstatic to make the jump to performing arts administration with the University of Utah School of Dance since his true passion is performing.

Will is an avid member of the Utah theatre community. He has performed in musical theatre shows throughout the valley at venues such as: Hale Centre Theatre, Centerpoint Legacy Theatre, The Grand Theatre at SLCC, Midvale Main Street Theatre, the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center, and the Capitol Theatre.

He is also an active circus artist specializing in stilt walking; flying pole; aerial silks, straps, hammock, and bungee; and has performed with Aeris Aerial Arts of Utah, Voodoo Entertainment, Utah Arts Alliance, Onyx Pole & Aerial Fitness, and Defying Gravity Utah. Will is a current aerial silks coach at Aeris Aerial Arts of Utah.

In his abundant free time, Will is also a musician—having played violin, piano, organ, percussion, trumpet, classical guitar, and cello. Currently, piano is the only instrument he continually plays—mostly as an accompanist. He has performed piano with the University of Utah Institute Singers at Temple Square and a number of Catholic parishes throughout the state including St. James the Greater, St. Catherine of Sienna, and St. Martin de Porres. He is currently learning to expand his repertoire to accompany ballet classes and musical theatre vocalists.
