We are excited to share an opportunity that may be of interest to your faculty, students, and colleagues involved in music and dance.The International Guild of Musicians in Dance (IGMD)—the world’s longest-running organization dedicated to dance musicians—will host its 2025 Conference, “Ghost Heroes and Servant Souls,” from September 5–7 at Belhaven University, Jackson, Mississippi.This three-day in-person gathering will include:. Engaging sessions exploring the intersection of music and dance
. Collaborative opportunities like the Ballet Piano Circus, modern class round robins, and an improv jam
. Networking and community building with professionals from around the globeWho should attend?
Any professional dance musician, as well as students and musicians new in the field of ballet and contemporary dance accompaniment. New attendees receive a free one-year IGMD membership with conference registration.Registration: $200 in-person, $40 remote-only (Zoom)
